Temporary Recruitment
Temporary Recruitment introductions are where a recruitment business represents an employer or job seeker and speculates their temporary vacancy or skills to potential employers or candidates. There are no restrictions on the number of agencies or recruitment businesses a candidate may register with. When the recruitment business establishes a relationship with an employer, they present their terms and conditions of business and agree costs. These costs include:
The temporaries basic hourly pay
Holiday pay (9.2%)
National Insurance (12.8% charged after Holiday pay is calculated)
Recruitment business mark-up
An employer has no further financial liability for the temporary and all employment
TAX and PAYE are processed by the recruitment business.
The temporary will receive the agreed basic hourly rate less National Insurance and
PAYE tax.
A temporary recruitment contract between employer and employee is based upon an hour to
hour basis, therefore, no notice periods are required by either party to cease the
contract. (Please note, long terms temporary employment may have notice liability
to an employer).
