Client / Account Manager - Conference & Events - Swindon based

A prestigious conference and events company is looking for a driven Account Manager / Client Manager to join their business. This role would suit a commercial and experienced sales and customer focused hospitality or travel professional looking to further their career in account and client relationship management with a forward thinking business.



Duties will include:



- Overall responsibility for a portfolio of accounts/contracts, ensuring revenue is maximised from each account

- Responsibility for setting and management of own budgetary targets in conjunction with Operations team

- Developing the business and maximising all opportunities

- Ensuring a high degree of client care is maintained at all times

- Nurture client relationships and maximise opportunities through client visits, site inspections and client events

- Managing a team of Client Co-ordinators ensuring service levels are maintained and assisting with ongoing development and training

- To be responsible for managing all aspects of the contracts within the portfolio of accounts, including the renegotiation and renewing of contracts, where applicable

- Compile, attend and chair all review meetings with direct reports and line management

- Increase of profit margins by ensuring all services are maximised and to review opportunities when necessary

- To be aware of seasonal peaks within the market and act accordingly to secure contracts

- To carry out regular client visits/appointments/site inspections in order to convert all enquiries and develop client relationships

- To create and drive the sales plan for key identified clients/accounts

- To attend presentations when required

- Project management of bookings as and when required

- Driving the team to generate new and existing leads

- To ensure the team adhere to the company’s standards and procedures in line with ISO9001

- To be involved and assist with any special projects e.g. tenders



Skills required:



- Proven experience in account management, client relationship management and maximising revenue ideally within the hospitality industry

- Ability to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues

- Excellent managerial skills and the ability to bring out the best in your team

- Strong budgetary management skills with an awareness of P&L

- Commercial focus

- An eye for new business and maximising opportunity with clients

- Experience of training and development with direct reports

- Strong customer focus

- An eye for detail

- Full UK driving licence
